Hearts Of Hope Entrusts Its Security To Accsys

When its existing access control and security system was disabled after being struck by lightning, Hearts of Hope, a Section 21 not-for-profit organisation focused on the welfare of vulnerable children, looked to Accsys for help. A replacement system was needed to effectively record and store time & attendance information, as well as address urgent issues with access control, safety and security.

Hearts of Hope urgently needed to replace its damaged system, but lacked the resources to fully fund this.

In addition to general security and time & attendance information recording, the main door to the organisation works on a magnetic lock which is connected to the driveway. This lock system ensures that children are not able to access the driveway. When the system was out of commission, it posed a danger both in terms of security and safety for all on site.

After engaging with Accsys, the organisation has been equipped with a biometric-based Suprema BioLite Net clocking device and now has in place a secure, effective system to record time & attendance and control access to the premises.

The newly integrated system has provided Hearts of Hope with the benefits of biometric access control.

“The device enables us to ensure that only authorised personnel enter the premises,” says Deborah Van Dongen,Director at Hearts of Hope. “Obviously safety of the children in our care is paramount and as such the prevention of the unauthorised entry of people into the premises is essential. In addition, we are accountable to donors for their funds that pay for our employees. The system enables us to accurately record the hours worked by each employee and pay them accordingly and monitor working hours and absenteeism.”

Hearts of Hope have 18 employees using the system.

“We have had a long association with Accsys and so appreciate the Company making a plan for us. Their installation staff and service was so efficient,” she adds.

Teryl Schroenn, CEO of Accsys, says the Company is proud of its association with Hearts of Hope. “We are very pleased to have been in a position to extend our CSI program and provide a solution that will make a lasting difference to this very worthy cause.”

Accsys is a member of the Business Connexion Group (BCX) and a national supplier of people management software and hardware solutions within the HR, payroll and time & attendance space, including the Suprema range of biometric access control and time & attendance solutions.

The Company is an established distributor of time & attendance solutions that incorporate a time module component. This component allows for control of turnstiles, doors, booms, vehicle traffic booms, CCTV and RFID using predetermined shift rules, in real time.
